Lavasource Appoints Former PwC Partner Ben Thornton as Global Consulting VP

Executive appointment reflects the company’s investment in its global consulting capability and HR technology services.

Thornton will lead the next stage of development of Lavasource’s global consulting capability, working closely with the company’s teams, clients and technology partners to broaden its services and help clients realize greater value from their HR technology and transformation investments.

Thornton brings more than 30 years of experience in HR, workforce transformation and consulting, including senior leadership roles at PwC, Atos and Aon. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 organizations, leading numerous complex global HR and workforce transformation programs and helping clients rethink their operating models, transform people processes and harness technology to create better ways of working.

A consistent theme throughout Thornton’s career has been a track record of building and scaling successful consulting businesses. He has grown consulting revenues, built new propositions and capabilities, developed high-performing teams and created strong routes to market. Most recently, he has spent over a decade as a Partner at PwC, where he helped build and scale major technology-enabled HR transformation businesses and propositions.

Thornton has been at the forefront of the shift towards technology-enabled HR transformation, helping organizations move from traditional HR models towards Cloud-enabled digital services and, increasingly, harnessing the opportunities presented by AI. His experience spans strategy and operating model design through to the delivery and adoption of large-scale global technology-enabled transformation programs. He also brings extensive experience of developing strategic technology alliances, including Dayforce, and has helped significantly grow technology-enabled consulting revenues by combining strong propositions, alliance relationships, consulting capability and successful client delivery.
